Bride’s shortcuts, guidelines for a
beautiful wedding day
Can you organize a traditional wedding in a matter of months if you
have just become engaged?
Most bridal guides advise allowing six months to a year to attend to
the many details. But a book, Shortcuts and Strategies for a Beautiful Wedding, offers help to those who want or
need to a celebration in a hurry.
You can speed up your planning timetable without sacrificing your dream
of a lovely wedding, according to the authors. The Key is efficiency and organization. We have added a few tips
of our own on how to quickly plan for your wedding photography, too.

Network to whittle
down options.
You will not be able to visit every wedding vendor in your
area. Instead, ask friends and business associates for specific recommendations. Then ask these referrals
for their suggestions. We work closely with many area vendors and would be happy to recommend them. Visit
http://www.weddingnewengland.com for a full list of some of the top
professional in their field, I personally work very closely with these businesses. Finally, attend a bridal show, if possible, to
take advantage of the multiple ideas and services gathered in one place. Do not be surprised to find us at the show, too.

Postpone task when
appropriate.
Send thank-you notes now to your attendants, but shop for their gifts
on your honeymoon. Here is a gift idea you can decide on after the wedding: Enlarge and frame photographs of
your wedding attendants, parents, spouse and/or grandparents. As soon as your proofs are in, you can choose a favorite
photo. One thing that has been working great for my clients is buying a gift certificate for attendants on our on line proof
system so all they have to do is pick out their favorite photo and it will be mailed to them.

Delegate, delegate,
delegate.
Willing friends and family members can be
lifesavers. Does your mother love to shop? She might scour stores for bridesmaids’ gifts.
Your father could arrange for the invitation printing and order the liquor. Your maid of honor could drop off your list of
photography requirements, signed forms and deposit to our studio to save time.

Set deadlines to get
things done.
We will let you know our deadlines and requirements and help
make them fit into your schedule.
If you are faced with planning a wedding in a short amount of
time, please feel free to come in and talk with us about your wedding photography. We will work with you to meet your needs for a
beautiful wedding.
